ETHICAL CODE OF THE CLINICAL LOGOPEDISTS

1. General Principles

1.1. A clinical logopedist acts responsibly, humanely, adhering to the principles of evidence-based practice and human dignity.

1.2. The aim of professional activity is to help patients with swallowing, speech, and communication disorders.

2. Interaction with Patients

2.1. Respect the patient’s right to confidentiality and informed consent.

2.2. Do not allow discrimination on any grounds.

2.3. Ensure safe and ethical conditions of therapy.

3. Interaction with Colleagues

3.1. Show respect for colleagues, observe principles of collegiality.

3.2. Avoid public criticism without grounds, support the reputation of the profession.

4. Professional Competence

4.1. Continuously improve knowledge and skills, help colleagues.

4.2. Refrain from practicing beyond professional competence.

5. Responsibility

5.1. A clinical logopedists is responsible for the results of therapy, choice of methods and techniques.

5.2. In case of an ethical conflict, must contact the organization’s ethics committee.
