At the beginning of 2026, we are launching a three-month online specialization course for clinical speech therapists.
This decision is based on the current needs of the healthcare system, the growing demand for clinical speech therapy, and the need to standardize professional competencies in line with European standards (ESLA, CPLOL) and international clinical guidelines.
Why is this important?
The war has dramatically increased the number of patients with neurogenic speech, communication, and swallowing disorders.
Healthcare facilities need specialists with training that is relevant to the medical context and interdisciplinary work.
Ukraine still lacks sufficient programs that provide clinical competencies at the level of modern neuroscience, evidence-based therapy, and medical protocols.
The ACLU is systematically moving towards the formation of a new professional standard, and these courses are part of the national strategy for the development of clinical speech therapy.
What will be covered in the courses?
• Neuroanatomy and neurophysiology of speech and swallowing
• Clinical diagnosis of speech and communication disorders
• Dysphagia, aphasia, dysarthria, cognitive disorders — modern assessment methods
• Interdisciplinary interaction in medical institutions;
• Supervision, clinical cases, documentation standards;
• Development of competencies necessary for work in military and civilian rehabilitation.
2026 will be the year of clinical speech therapy development in Ukraine!
We are strengthening the profession, shaping a new quality of patient care, and setting the standards that the Ukrainian healthcare system needs in the context of war and recovery.
📢 Stay tuned for the announcement. Registration will open soon.
